ALOHA! Welcome to Maui Paddling Hui's fourth race of our "One-Man" season proudly sponsored by Outrigger Pizza.  

This week we have our Long Course from Haycraft Park to Kihei Canoe Clube to Makena Landing – 11.5 Miles

Our Short Course from Kihei Canoe Club to Makena Landing – 9 Miles

Our Backup course will be from Maliko to Kahului Harbor – 10 Miles

No Short Course.

To register please have ready

• An emergency contact’s name and phone number. (someone who is NOT racing)

• If you are doing OC-2 please have your partners full name, email, and phone number. When asked for a team name please put both last names and then a team name if you wanna get creative! For example: Doe/Smith: The Generic Last Names.

• What boat make are you using and what color(s) is it?

• If you are not a junior (MPHjr) and did not pay for the season, please have a card ready to pay $40. This is for our Water Safety boats, insurance, our equipment and more!

• Please note that registration ends 2 days before the race at 11:45pm so be sure to sign up now!

What you will need Race Day

• Bright jersey! If you aren’t wearing something to help us easily spot you our water safety team won’t be able to know you are in the race or just out on the water.  This helps us know how many people are finishing up the race at the end and our beach crew can compare numbers with the water safety crew.

• Water! After the race we have a limited supply of water, please have some water to hydrate with after the race.

• PFD! All paddlers must wear an inflatable waist pack or full size USCG approved Type I, II, III, or V Personal Flotation Device (PFD) the entire time they are paddling during every MPH event. ISO 12402-5 rating is also acceptable. If you don’t have one go see our sponsor Tri Paddle Maui to get one for the race!

• Leash! You must be connected to your boat by a leash for the entirety of the race. This way if you huli you don’t lose your boat!

• Please be sure to check in on race day and pick up your boat number if you don't have one for 2024 yet! This will happen from 8am-9:15am at  Kahului Harbor.  We will then have a safety meeting at 10:30am so we can start the race at 11am!
