PLEASE READ

It is important for MPH and our paddling community to continue to respect Molokai and the impact this race has on Molokai.  As we have done in years past we are asking all paddlers to please travel to and from Molokai on boats whenever possible, and travel by airline only as a last resort.  Please work with boat captains on your logistics so we do not have a major impact on the islands flight loads and capacity.  As we mentioned we are doing our best to keep a good relationship with Molokai and the harbor division.  We will be sending info on boat captains to registrants.

MPH’s mission is encouraging participation and competition of OC-1, OC-2, and Surfskis as well as general paddler sports on the Island of Maui. With the growth in popularity of the M2M race, we are challenged with keeping the race both safe and accessible to local paddlers, while still providing the opportunity to compete against worldwide talent. Qualifying criteria and entry allotments have been adjusted to manage these challenges. Race is capped at 200 boats total.

ADDITIONAL EVENT INFORMATION

  • RACE DAY REQUIREMENTS
    • Bright Event Jersey! You must wear the official 2025 MPH M2M jersey (included in your race registration). No exceptions!
    • PFD! All paddlers must wear an inflatable waist pack or full size USCG approved Type I, II, III, or V Personal Flotation Device (PFD) the entire time they are paddling during every MPH event. ISO 12402-5 rating is also acceptable. If you don’t have one go see our sponsor Tri Paddle Maui to get one for the race!
    • Leash! You must be connected to your boat by a leash for the entirety of the race. This way if you huli you don’t lose your boat!
    • Please be sure to check in on race day and pick up your boat number and jersey! This will happen from 7:00 - 8:30 am at D.T. Fleming Beach Park.
  • BAGGAGE & GEAR: MPH is not responsible for getting baggage or gear to Molokai. There will be VERY LIMITED access to a jetski, with early cut-off time, for getting gear to boats. You must make your own arrangements with a support boat to transport any gear and it is highly recommended to get the gear to that boat the day before the race. Otherwise, you need to paddle the gear out to the support boat well ahead of race start on race morning.
  • RETURN SHIPMENT OF BOATS: MPH is NOT responsible for return shipment of boats after race. You must make your own arrangements for any shipment of boats.
  • RESULTS
    • Timed finish results will be live on the RaceHub site as soon as they are finalized after the race.  We will update the MPH website with results within a day post race.
