PFD's REQUIRED FOR ALL RACES THIS YEAR! ALL paddlers must wear inflatable waist pack or full size USCG approved Type I, II, III, or V Personal Flotation Device (PFD) the entire time they are paddling during EVERY MPH RACEISO 12402-5 rating also acceptable.

$30 PER PERSON in ADVANCE. $45 ON RACE DAY. Juniors 'fly free' IF pre-registered or $15 on race day.

COURSE TO BE DETERMINED. Hanakao'o Beach Park will be be closed for Parking lot paving. Check back to see what course modifications we are able to secure permits for. It will be as similar as possible to the course listed below.

1st leg:Kihei Canoe Club to Haycraft 2.7mi
2nd leg:Haycraft to Papalaua (Grandma's) 5.3mi
3rd leg:Papalaua to Olowalu/Single-tree 5mi
4th leg:Olowalu/Single-tree to Guardrails 2.8mi
5th leg:Guardrails to Mala Wharf 3.4mi
6th leg:Mala Wharf to Hanakao'o (canoe beach) 1.7mi

ADDITIONAL RELAY RULES:

  • Paddlers must alternate each leg, no doubling up.
  • For 55+ divisions, each paddler must be 55 or older.
  • For OC-2 coed, must have 1 male and 1 female on the canoe at a time. Not 2 males one leg and 2 females the next.
  • For iron paddlers, mandatory 2-minute stops at Papalaua and Guardrails
